Mistletoe and Mayhem By Janice Thompson

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; and when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.  For I am the Lord your God, the Holy of Israel, your Savior." (Isaiah 43:2-3a ESV)

Fans of cozy romance novels with a touch of mystery, and fans of Christmas fiction will not want to miss Janice Thompson's third book in the Little Red Mysteries series.  This book can be read as a stand alone (I have yet to read the other books in this series, but after this one, I will be sure to get my paws on them.)  If you are longing for a little Christmas nostalgia and focus on family and traditions this is the perfect book for you.

27 year old Raelynn Hadley is planning her dream wedding to her longtime crush and boyfriend, Mason.  The problem is, he is acting awfully strange.  Missed texts, and missed appointments, Raelynn is starting to worry that he will leave her hanging at the altar.  Raelynn has been planning her dream wedding (since she was 7) to be married on the Hadley ranch, near sunset to get those perfect sunset wedding pictures.  Everyone thinks she is crazy as the wedding is in December, just days after Christmas.  With fears of freezing guests and what seems to be a reluctant groom, what more could go wrong?  Well, throw in a fire and a sudden unexpected deluge of rain on Christmas Eve, Raelynn is beside herself with worry.   Will Raelynn have the wedding of her dreams to the love of her life Mason?

Thompson weaves their precious story together throwing in some darling secondary characters that readers will love and appreciate.  Raelynn's mom learns that part of raising children is letting them go and live the life that God has called them to be, and that it is not the end of a relationship, but only the beginning of something new and wonderful.  Raelynn learns that God is always working out the minute details and that she needs to let go and trust.

Fans of Hallmark Christmas movies, Debbie Macomber, and RaeAnne Thayne will not want to miss this book, available today for purchase!  Light up that perfect Christmas candle (Tree Farm or Fresh Balsam go perfectly with this Christmas wedding story).  Don't forget that favorite holiday pie (maybe some warm apple pie ala mode?).   You will not regret the time spent cozied up reading this sweet, sentimental Christmas romance.  Simba happily gives it 3 solid paws.  Happy Reading!!
