Final Approach By: Lynette Eason

"For Nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, not is anything secret that will not be known and come to light." Luke 8:17 ESV

There are so many scriptures of true, selfless love throughout the Bible, I could list so many and they all would tie to this book in some way.  One that kep coming to my mind is John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." (ESV)  Love is not selfish nor does it seek to benefit self.  In this Lake City Heroes book by Lynette Eason Kristine has to come to grip with a father who does not love in this way.    She has always assumed her Father to be controlling and hard to get along, but she has never truly grasped or understood the depths or links he would go to fulfill his psychotic fantasies.

Kristine, her friends, and potential love interest Andrew are on a flight to the sandy beaches of Florida for some much needed rest and relaxation.  Then the unthinkable happens!  An attempted hijacker on their plane sets off a series of events that Kristine and Andrew were not expecting.  They each must face demons in their past, forgive themselves, and find rest and peae in the arms of the Good Shepherd, the only one who can provide that rest.

This is a fast paced read, that will have readers on the edge of their seat until the final pages.  Lynette Eason weaves so much spiritual truth into this book, and readers will feel like taking a moment to reflect on and look at their own hearts and motivations (I know I was).  In her uniuqe and spell-binding way, readers offers readers a glimpse into the psyche of a truly evil person, along with glimpses into the minds of those who have got caught up in evil for a myriad of reasons.  With all that we face in our world, this book was a solid reminder, that Our God is sovereign and on His throne.  Evil will not triumph, and all will be brought into the light.  As believers we can cling to an eternal hope and an eternal kingdom where there is no night, and the only light we need is of the Father and his beloved Son.

Fans of Patricia Bradley, and Eliazabeth Goddard will love this novel in Lynette Eason's Lake City Heroes novel (can be read as a stand alone).  The characters are rich and dynamic, and she weaves so much truth about good and evil into her book.  I was reminded of many verses after reading this, and motiviated to do better and to put away the selfish desires of my flesh.  Simba says readers do not want to miss this new book that is available for purchase now, and gives it four paws.  Happy reading!!
