"For Nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, not is anything secret that will not be known and come to light." Luke 8:17 ESV There are so many scriptures of true, selfless love throughout the Bible, I could list so many and they all would tie to this book in some way.  One that kep coming to my mind is John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." (ESV)  Love is not selfish nor does it seek to benefit self.  In this Lake City Heroes book by Lynette Eason Kristine has to come to grip with a father who does not love in this way.    She has always assumed her Father to be controlling and hard to get along, but she has never truly grasped or understood the depths or links he would go to fulfill his psychotic fantasies.    Kristine, her friends, and potential love interest Andrew are on a flight to the sandy beaches of Florida for some much needed rest and relaxation.  Then the unthinka...

"Why my soul are you downcast?  Why so disturbed within me?  Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my savior and my God."  Psalm 42:5 The Christmas Advent season is one of:  joy, hope, peace, excitement, and anticipation for many people.  For me, it is my favorite time of the year - and I can not wait for that Christmas music and Christmas movies (classics and new ones on Hallmark and Great American Family).  I do realize, however, that there are others that even if they celebrate it they are going through the motions as they are hiding pain, or grief.  Then there are others, like Holly and Nick in our book, who are self-proclaimed Grinches for a myiad of reasons.  In this heartfelt rom-com St. Amant brings these two individuls who proclaim to hate Christmas together, in a place that seems to be taken directly out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Holly, a Christmas baby, grows up the middle of five children, and as an adult is stil...

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; and when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.  For I am the Lord your God, the Holy of Israel, your Savior." (Isaiah 43:2-3a ESV) Fans of cozy romance novels with a touch of mystery, and fans of Christmas fiction will not want to miss Janice Thompson's third book in the Little Red Mysteries series.  This book can be read as a stand alone (I have yet to read the other books in this series, but after this one, I will be sure to get my paws on them.)  If you are longing for a little Christmas nostalgia and focus on family and traditions this is the perfect book for you. 27 year old Raelynn Hadley is planning her dream wedding to her longtime crush and boyfriend, Mason.  The problem is, he is acting awfully strange.  Missed texts, and missed appointments, Raelynn is starting to worry that he will leave her...
