A Ruff Royal Christmas by Karen Schaler

"A mother and daughter"s love is never seperated."  Viola Shipman

Many times your hear the saying,  "Daddy's Little Girl",  but that bond between a mother and daughter, while fragile, is one that really has no words.   As both a mother, and a daughter I can relate amd feel this way.   My own relationship wirh my mother has always been tumultuous.   Looking back, as a moneith three daughters, two of whom have left the nest, I have a bit more grace and understanding.    Karen Schaler does an amazing job of portraying the struggles and joys of this special and wonderful relationship in her newest novel, A Ruff Roual Christmas, scheduled to be released September 30, 2025.

Karen takes us to the kingdom of Skydovia where we meet the prim, proper, duty-bound Princess Ava.  Determined please her late father, Princess Ava is set to Marry a duke.  She was always led to believe, that her mother Queen of Skydovia, needs to be kept grounded in reality.   Enter Stormy, the mischievous yet loveable border collide, her mom plans to adopt.  Ava is totally against this bit is left dogsitting while her mom takes and unexpected trip to Paris.   Readers will be taken on a funny yet heartwarming journey with Princess Ava and dog trainet/veterinarian Jeff as they chase after Stormy (who had somehow managed to escape the castle).  This journey is more than locating a beloved missing pup, but the journey of these two characters to find what is really important in life.

Fans of clean, Christmas romance will fall in love with this cozy romantic comedy.   You will be taken along this journey with Ava and Jeff, with some surprising twists and turns.  Most importantly, I pray, you will see that love and family are two of the most important gifts God has given us.  Cherish your time with your family, making memories that will last a lifetime.  The legacy of love, faith, and family is so much more important than the balance of your bank account, your job, or any other material pursuits.  So, cozy up with that Christmas blanket, light a Christmas candle, and take a journey to a far away land where the princess gets her happily ever after.  More importantly, remember that you are Loved by God, and he has called you and chosen you and He is the author of your story.   We have a beautiful happily ever after awaiting us.  In the meantime, make the time you have with your loved ones count.

Simba gives this book four paws!! (Even though a dog is one of the main characters).
